The Bridles and Halters Sizes.

The Pony size bridles are designed to fit a horse approx 13hh – 13.3hh.

The Cob size bridles are designed to fit a horse approx 14hh – 15.2hh.

The Full size bridle will fit a horse approx 15.3hh – 16.3hh

The Warm Blood size bridles are designed to fit a horse approx 17hh – 17.3hh.

These sizes are a guide as some horses have larger or smaller heads for their height.

 REGULAR, SEMI & QUARTER HORSE BARS.

Bars in a western saddles are part of the saddle tree. They run either side of your horse’s spine. They generally come in 4 sizes to fit most horses.
•         Regular Quarter Horse bars - gullet width: 5 ¾” - 6"      
•         Semi-quarter horse bars - gullet width: 6" - 6 ½”
•         Full quarter horse bars - gullet width: 6 ¾”-7"
•         Extra-wide quarter horse bars - gullet width: 7"+

Materials Used

The Leathers used in our bridles and leather halters. Each product ad describes the leather used. Drum Dyed (DD) Buffalo leather and fine grain cow leather are used (cow softy). Buffalo leather is a stronger leather than Cow hide and is a soft and supple leather. Cow softy is very fexible and soft to the touch.

Elite Saddles are made from a variety of materials. Each product ad describes the leather used. We use high quality drum dyed buffalo leather, Argentinian and English leather and some saddles are made from a synthetic leather and synthetic suede. All materials are selected based on their strength, durability and quality. The saddle trees are made from a moulded Synthetic tree which keeps the saddle light weight for you and your horse.

Any silver fittings used on our Bridles, Halters and Saddles are made on a Brass sheet. Once the frames are cut out for the individual items silver polish is added giving the products a lovely shine.
